Abstract

Efficient application of structural timber

The quality of glued laminated timber depends not only on the type and condition of the adhesive but also on the influencing factors as time, pressure or temperature. The timber-adhesive relationship is influenced by the characteristics not only of the timber surface (density, species, fiber orientation, anatomic structure, moisture, cutting time and type) but also of the adhesive (type, concentration, viscosity, temperature).
